Instant Pot Ham Recipe

Pre-cooked ham is a staple in my freezer. I always look to buy one when they’re on sale at the grocery store. For under $10 I can typically find one that’s the perfect size for our family of six.

Although I love preparing these chicken and cheese filled crepes and this simple taco salad recipe, I often don’t have as much time as I’d like for cooking. Being able to place everything in the Instant Pot and have it done in less than 45 minutes is amazing.

That’s another reason I love the fingerling or baby potatoes for this recipe as I don’t need to peel them. I just give them a good scrub and rinse, slice in half and they’re good to go!

Once the potatoes, carrots and onions are cut up (bigger chunks work great) I place them in the Instant Pot and then set the ham on top. (I always like to rinse the ham when I take it out of the package and pat the moisture off with a paper towel).

Pour 1 cup of broth or water into the Instant Pot directly over top of the ham.

Secure and seal the lid and select the meal / stew setting on the Instant Pot. The amount of time will depend on the size of the ham. Typically, 5 minutes per 1 lb of ham is an ideal amount of time to get a delicious juicy ham. Once it’s done cooking, allow the Instant Pot to release naturally.

Remove the cooked ham and vegetables, cutting the ham into thin slices. Serve over top of the prepared vegetables and enjoy!

Would be great to have the Ninja Foodie instructions for this recipe.

I just finished prepping it, dumped it in the Foodie, went to turn it on, and discovered that the recipe has no conversion. My fault of course for not catching that I have a Foodie (not an Instapot), but I can’t find any conversion info on the Ninja Foodie equivalent of the “meat/stew setting for 35 minutes” to save my life.

It’s a bummer as my family and I are hungry and I have no idea how to finish this recipe right now :-(.
