Bacon Wrapped Jalapeño Poppers Recipe

The cheesy filling helps to cut down the naturally hot jalapeño poppers creating a unique palatable flavor. With just a few key ingedients, these poppers are quite easy to make and make for a gauranteed crowd-pleasing appetizer.

If you want to prepare the appetizer ahead of time, it’s no problem. Jalapeño poppers freeze well so you can assemble them in advance and place them in the freezer in an airtight container until ready to bake. Bake from frozen until poppers are cooked through and bacon is crispy and browned.

Jalapeño poppers pair nicely with a spicy, tangy and slightly sweet sriracha mayo or a classic ranch dressing.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup cream cheese
  • ½ cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 6 green jalapeno peppers medium to large size
  • package of bacon

Instructions
 

  • Preheat the oven to 400.
  • Cut the jalapeno peppers in half lengthwise and using a spoon, remove and discard the seeds.
  • Mix the cream cheese and cheddar cheese together with an electric mixer.
  • Place a spoonful of the cheese mixture in the half cut jalapeno pepper.
  • Take a slice of uncooked bacon and wrap the cheese filled pepper.
  • Line a baking sheet with tin foil and place the jalapeno poppers on top. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until the bacon is crispy and browned.
  • Serve immediately.
