Ingredients

  • 1 lb Swiss chard
  • 1/2 cup cherry tomatoes
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 3 cloves of garlic chopped
  • 1/4 cup red onion, chopped
  • pepper to taste
  • 1/2 lemon zest
  • ¼ cup parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup walnut halves

Instructions

  • Washed, cleaned and dried, Cut Swiss chard in half.
  • Add to salted boiling water.
  • Cook on medium heat for 5-7 minutes.
  • Drain. Put 1 cup of boiled water aside.
  • In a frying pan, add 2 tbsp butter and 1 tbsp olive oil and heat.
  • Add garlic and onions and saute for 1-2 minutes until golden.
  • Add Swiss chard and tomatoes and mix all together. Add the cup of boiled water.
  • Cook for another 10 minutes on medium heat.
  • Season with pepper and lemon zest.
  • Top with parmesan cheese and walnuts and serve.
