- 1 lb Swiss chard
- 1/2 cup cherry tomatoes
- 1 tsp salt
- 3 cloves of garlic chopped
- 1/4 cup red onion, chopped
- pepper to taste
- 1/2 lemon zest
- ¼ cup parmesan cheese
- 1/4 cup walnut halves
Washed, cleaned and dried, Cut Swiss chard in half.
Add to salted boiling water.
Cook on medium heat for 5-7 minutes.
Drain. Put 1 cup of boiled water aside.
In a frying pan, add 2 tbsp butter and 1 tbsp olive oil and heat.
Add garlic and onions and saute for 1-2 minutes until golden.
Add Swiss chard and tomatoes and mix all together. Add the cup of boiled water.
Cook for another 10 minutes on medium heat.
Season with pepper and lemon zest.
Top with parmesan cheese and walnuts and serve.
