Mix warm water, yeast and sugar together in a small cup and let it sit for 7-10 minutes.
Blend all flour and salt together with yeast mixture in a large bowl with a dough hook. Mix until the dough is well formed (about 7-10 minutes).
Cover the bowl with a tea towel and leave the dough for about 30-40 minutes until the dough is about double its size.
Roll out the dough on a floured surface to 1” thick.
Cut dough into 2” strips and then cut strips in half lengthwise.
Create the twist by overlapping the two pieces from the top to the bottom.
Place twists on a parchment lined baking sheet.
Mix garlic powder, Italian seasoning and melted butter.
Brush over top of the twists.
Bake at 370F for 20-25 minutes.
Remove from the oven.
Brush remaining melted butter over top of baked twists. Serve warm.
