Easy Snickerdoodle Recipe (Soft & Chewy!)
There’s something irresistible about a warm snickerdoodle with a soft centre, chewy edges, and plenty of cinnamon sugar.
Ingredients
- 1 cup unsalted butter
- 1 ⅓ cup granulated sugar
- 1 egg
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 ½ cups flour
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1 tsp baking powder
Cinnamon Sugar:
- ½ cup granulated sugar
- 2 tsp cinnamon
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350. Beat butter and sugar until mixture turns an off-white colour.
- Add egg and stir. Don't over mix as excess air will make cookies a cakey texture. Add vanilla extract.
- Add flour, baking soda and powder. Fold dry ingredients inward.
- Stir cinnamon and sugar in a separate bowl.
- Place cookies until a lined tray and coat in cinnamon sugar.
- Bake for 10 minutes.
