Beat eggs and add sugar. When they are well blended, add melted butter slowly and keep mixing.
Combine flour, baking powder and salt. Remove clumps with a sifter.
Fold in the dry ingredients with the wet ingredients using a wooden spoon.
Add strawberries and mix just until blended.
Batter shouldn’t be too runny. Add 1 tbsp of flour if it appears too runny.
Pour the batter into a lightly greased pan. Avoid over greasing the pan.
Sprinkle the top with chocolate chips.
Bake at 360F for 30-35 minutes. Check the cake by inserting a toothpick in the center after 30 minutes. If the toothpick comes out clean, the cake is cooked through.
