Classic Plum Cake Recipe

Ingredients

  • 160 gms Refined flour
  • 1.5 tsp Baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp Salt
  • 120 ml Oil
  • 140 ml Milk room temperature
  • 2 Eggs
  • 150 gms + 1 tbsp Sugar powdered
  • 1/2 grated Nutmeg
  • 1.5 tsp Cinnamon
  • 2 tbsp Curd
  • 2 tsp Honey
  • 1 tsp Vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup Chopped plums
  • Sliced plums for top

Instructions

  • In a bowl add the oil and sugar and mix till its light and creamy.
  • dd the eggs one at a time and combine well.
  • Add curd, vanilla extract, honey & mix well.
  • In a large bowl sift the dry ingredients together (refined flour, salt, baking powder, nutmeg and cinnamon).
  • Start adding the dry mix to the wet mix, alternating it with milk.
  • Finally add in the chopped plums and just mix a little.
  • Pour it in your baking pan and place the sliced plums on top and sprinkle 1 tbsp sugar on top.
  • Bake at 180°C for 40-45 mins.
